The Foundation For Financial Stewardship
A savings account is the first thing you open when you become a member of America Christian Credit Union (ACCU) because learning the value of saving is the foundation for good financial stewardship. As a not-for-profit organization we are not publicly traded and do not sell stocks in the credit union. Instead, your savings account allows you to become a member and partial owner of the credit union.
A savings account is a deposit account that gives you an easy way to save for life’s expenses. Unlike brokerage accounts, your deposits are federally insured by the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund (NCUSIF) for up to $250,000. Excess coverage at ACCU provided by American Share Insurance (ASI) for an additional up to $200,000.
When it comes to picking the right savings account, we know you have a lot of choices from big banks, community banks and other credit unions, but ACCU has over 60 years of experience serving Christian families, ministries, churches, businesses and universities.
Only ACCU can give you 24/7 access to your finances paired with a shared mission – to expand the Kingdom! As a Christian credit union, we use revenue generated to support ministries and extend God's reach. When you make a deposit with ACCU, you can rest-easy knowing that your funds are reinvested into churches and ministries by providing low-cost loans to further the mission.
